Yoga, Ayurveda & Wellness
India, the land of Yoga & Ayurveda where one of the oldest forms of medicine is still actively practised even till date. Most of us tend to associate Ayurveda with the Message therapies but Ayurveda at its roots is the ancient form of longevity and holistic medicine which has survived and flourished since time immemorial.
Ayurveda has a recorded history dating back to 2nd Century B.C. According to the study of Ayurveda it is believed that the entire universe is composed of five different elements: Vayu or Air, Jala or Water, Aakash or Space or ether), Prithvi or Earth and Agni or Fire.
These five elements have been referred to as Pancha Mahabhoota in Ayurveda and are believed to form the three basic balancing elements of human body in varying combinations. The three elements Vata dosha, Pitta dosha and Kapha dosha are collectively called as “Tridoshas” and they control the basic physiological functioning of the human body along with five sub-doshas for each of the principal doshas.
Ayurveda believes that the human body consists of Saptadhatus or seven tissues Rasa or tissue fluids, Meda or fat and connective tissue, Rakta or blood, Asthi or bones, Majja or marrow, Mamsa or muscle, and Shukra or semen and three Malas or waste products of the body, viz. Purisha (faeces), Mutra (urine) and Sweda (sweat).
Modern Life is full of stress in which it is indeed hard for us to find time to nurture our body and soul and if you share the thought and sometimes think how nice it would be to go out on a vacation and come back rejuvenated well this is the holiday you have been waiting for. Based upon your requirements we could customise your travel to either a cultural trip with an Ayurveda wellness trip to end it with or else take that entire time to heal your mind , body and soul through the holistic approaches of Ayurveda.
